The Mortar and Clan Castle sit like royalty in the middle of the base. By keeping them well‑guarded, the layout maximizes splash damage and defensive reinforcements, crippling swarms of low‑health troops. Enemy Giants bash on walls while the Mortar relentlessly blasts their backup, turning every ground push into a nightmare.
Circle of Doom Pathing
The gap between the core and outer buildings forces attackers into a scenic but deadly route around the base. Giants, Archers, and Barbarians get distracted by collectors and camps, delaying or completely thwarting their advance on key defenses. This pathing trick keeps the core untouched until late in the raid, draining both firepower and attacker morale.
Town Hall Bait & Trap
Placing the Town Hall on the outer edge tempts attackers to snipe it for an easy star. Once committed, troops trigger concealed traps and come under concentrated fire from Archer Towers and Cannons. By the time they breach the core, they’re battered and low on resources, making a 3‑star nearly impossible.
