This is a solid trophy base – it makes attackers work hard. If someone gets through the outer layer, they still need to deal with inner defenses. Plus, with storages on the outside, it tricks greedy raiders into wasting troops for small rewards.

Central Mortar hits nearly every building with splash damage, wiping out hordes before they reach defenses and lasting longer by being close to the Town Hall.
All-Angle Defense
Spread-out Cannons and Archer Towers provide overlapping fields of fire, covering ground and air approaches with no blind spots, making attacks feel like a rain of arrows.
